Young Republicans are young professionals that are registered Republican between the ages of 18 and 40.
The MCYR has established itself as the premier Republican grassroots organization in the state of Florida, providing essential grassroots support for Republican candidates and conservative issues on the local, state and national levels.
The MCYR has a solid record of producing future Republican Party leaders - including Lieutenant Governors, Congressmen, State Senators, State Representatives and nationally recognized campaign consultants. Through recruiting, training and mobilizing people, the MCYR presents an opportunity for ordinary people to do extraordinary things. Through community involvement in political issues, charitable projects and participation in political campaigns, YRs work to improve the world in which we live.
While the YRs are best known for political activism and service to our communities, YR events also provide a great opportunity for interaction amongst membership. This interaction allows for the exchange of ideas, networking, and friendships that will last a lifetime.
The YRs provide different opportunities for different people. No matter what your long-term goals may be, the YRs serve as the building blocks for a successful future.

Andrew Minor
President
Andy became a resident of Bradenton in the summer of 2001. He attended college at the University of Alabama where he received a Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering. As a former business owner, he became active with the party to push to try to reduce the tax load on small businesses. He is currently very active working on political campaigns and several community projects especially ones with a pro-life focus. Andy works for Merrill Lynch as a Certified Financial Manager in the downtown Bradenton office. |

Bryan
Tupper
Vice President
In 1998 Bryan moved down to Bradenton from Chicago. Bryan is currently a student where he majors in Political Science. As an actor he is involved with theater and most anything to do with the arts. Currently, Bryan works at Wal-Mart as a Four Star Cashier. Bryan has done a congressional internship locally, as well as in Washington D.C. with Congresswoman Katherine Harris. The day after his 18th birthday Bryan joined the Manatee County Republican Executive Committee. |

Kirstin Hankins
Secretary
Kirstin moved to Florida in 2005, after graduating from Michigan State University in East Lansing, MI. She holds a Bachelors degree in Finance as well as a Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice. While working in Sarasota, she met her future husband, Andy Minor, whom she plans to marry in June of 2007. Kirstin is passionate about helping children in need and is on the Board of Directors of the Gap School in Sarasota. She is also involved in Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Suncoast and is a Big Sister to a little girl at Emma Booker Elementary.

Nick Dzembo
Treasury
Nick and his wife Samantha moved to Bradenton in September of
2005 to build their first home and start a family. While in college
Nick earned his associates degree in business administration and
later his bachelor's degree in sports management. Currently working
for Suncoast Bank as a branch manager for their East Manatee location
and is also a licensed investment representative for Suncoast Investment
Services. |

Calvin Hill
Immediate Past President
Calvin is a sixth generation native from Manatee County and a proud
graduate of Manatee High School. He attended college at the University
of South Florida where he received a Bachelors degree in Finance.
Happily married to his wife Lori since 2004. Calvin has worked on
numerous campaigns and continues to support strong conservative
candidates. He is also a Member of the Manatee Republican Executive
Committee, Founding member of the East Manatee County Republican
Club and actively involved in other civic organizations. Calvin
is employed by Sunshine State Tag Agency and is a Licensed Mortgage
Broker with Lending Hand Mortgage. |
